Feeling A-LIVE with Kundalini Yoga & Raw Chocolate


Yoga & RAW Chocolate for Ultimate Heart & Intuition Opening!

Chocolate is not called “Food of the Gods” for nothing – it truly has the capacity to open our hearts and expand our intuition. The highest known plant source of magnesium, and an impressive source of antioxidants, iron, serotonin, tryptophan and anandamide (the so called “bliss” neurotransmitter), chocolate is a near panacea for today’s nutrient deficient, stress infused lifestyle.

In our home, we all eat – on a DAILY basis – raw chocolate in many different forms. We chew on cacao nibs, we make our own dairy-free raw cacao “hot chocolate,” we enjoy cacao-reishi-buckwheat granola for breakfast, we whip up cacao mega smoothies with superfoods, tonic herbs, and mega vitamins for meals.

We also practice primarily Kundalini Yoga and Meditation but also to a lesser extent hatha, vinyasa, and yin based yoga asana, meditation, mantra and meditation as well.

Why? What’s so important about these two aspects of daily living that make such a difference in our home? It’s simple: We FEEL better, more, deeply, ecstatically, truthfully. Our quality of life is vaulted to a whole new level when we incorporate yoga and chocolate into our lives consistently.

I know,  perhaps it even sounds crazy. But I have a challenge out there to almost everyone I know: try eating dairy-free, sugar-free raw cacao products (there’s so much you can do with these ingredients from the cacao fruit) and doing at least 3 minutes of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation a day for 40 days. See how incredibly different your life is from beginning to end.

This is a link to a youtube video I made a few weeks back regarding an Ayurvedic dreamtime smoothie for sweet dreams and solid sleep. The smoothie includes Raw Vanilla (a product we ALWAYS use when incorporating any raw chocolate anything...) as well as Raw Cacao Butter, which will help with easing Vata and soothing your nerves before sleep. My suggestion: watch the video, create your own smoothie, and sip it gently in a ginger-raw vanilla bath. (2 tbsp powdered dry ginger, 1 tbsp powdered raw vanilla poured directly into hot running bath tap water, 1 tbsp raw gently melted raw cacao butter applied to soles of the feet before entering the bath!)
These past couple of months I’ve been putting together a day-long workshop to exemplify and demonstrate how to incorporate the wisdom of Ayurveda, Yoga and Chocolate into your modern lifestyle. I am hoping to not only host this workshop here in Bar Harbor, Maine, in the coming months but I’m ALSO hoping to have the whole thing audio or video taped to offer out to folks who wish to enjoy this technology from the comfort of their homes world-wide.
